My approach is strongly informed by Narrative Therapy, which suggests you are the expert on your life. You already have the answers - we just need to find them. That means a strong reliance on intuition, storytelling, and then the restructuring of harmful narratives that disrupt your peace.
Trauma-informed care is defined as practices that promote a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing. Whether you've encountered deeply anxiety provoking childhood events, emotional abuse, or partnership violence, we can work through it to improve your sense of security.
While I encourage clients to vent frustrations, expel negative thoughts, and be direct in their communication, my approach remains solution focused. Clients should expect thoughtful and perceptive feedback that isn't afraid to acknowledge stagnation and affirm forward motion.
